As the winter takes hold, timber decks become extremely slippery under foot mainly because of algae, which is a green film that grows on wood in wet, dark conditions. When dry it generally is ok, however in wet conditions it is letal and can be best compared to walking on ice.
Our aluminium cased antislip strips fit into the grooves of exacting decking to provide a safe pathway across a deck. Suplied in 1m long strips, you normally use two strips per 140mm (6″) wide board, and can be glued or screwed in place to create a peremant safe walkwal. Please ensure the decking is clean and dry before gluing the strips in place.
